The korean Derma Shine injection (also called the aqua shine injection) first hits the Korean market in about 2009, and it gets really people in Asia including China, Japan and Hong Kong since 2013 and still hot until now. Especially in China, which is called 水光针 or 水光注射, local beauty salon are now even offering the injection for clients, yyou can get it anywhere now. So anyway back to the topic, what is Aqua shining injection and how it works?
Basically the aqua injection only contains Hyaluronic acid, however the doctor would mix Botox, Vitamin C, PRP (Platelet-rich plasma) etc to reach different expectations for different individual customers.
How does the Aqua injection works?

So I had this skin booster injection done twice before, and the result was perfect, at the very first time I only had the hyaluronic acid injected, which it haves my face a glow and I feel like my face was pumped up. It actually even my skin tone and the result last about 3 months. However after six months I have done another injection which is the hyaluronic acid along with botox, and it actually works better than the first one, by having the botox injected it actually lifts my face a bit, I feel like my face is more firm and its shines. After having the injection for twice, I actually felt that this is kind of like a skin care process that you have to do every 2 or 3 months, and going to the clinic cost a lot. I suggested to purchase a machine to use at home since the injection is easy to do. I suggested this ice shot injector because there is an ice massage tool build in with the injector, it allows you to release pain during the injection process, and it will reduce the redness after the procedure, helping the wounds heal as fast as possible.

I use it every two months, the process is actually not that complicated as you imagined. Here goes the easy few steps:
After applying the anesthetic cream, you don’t feel the needles at all. Just follow the face line and inject one by one until you have done the whole face. Because the needles were only to the dermis layer of the skin, it has no dangers to your nerves or veins. It is like a MTS tool but with a injection function. However I found out that this machine can also injects vitamin C or PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) injections.
For the hyaluronic acid, I use Glamour skin booster, and there are many other brands out there in Korea.

So it’s been 3 weeks after I done my smile surgery in Korea, as all of you should have known, it is also called lip corner lift, or the Smile Lipt Surgery. The result was great and althrough there is some marks left on the right side of my lip corner, however the Docter said the marks will be gone within’ 6 months. I have updated a few pictures here. Over all I think the Korea smile lipt surgery is pretty much worth it, I guess korea plastic surgery skill is like the best in the world.
3 days after surgery, you are required to go to the clinic again to remove most of the stitches but leaving some on still, and the rest will be remove on the 5th day after surgery. So during the 4th day, they will do the disinfection service again, after they remove the tapes and the cotton pads and they will remove some threads first and leaving a bit right at the lip corner which will be remove totally on the 6th day.

Swelling & Bruising 3 days after smile lift surgery
So there is some swelling and bruising 3 days after the surgery, they gave me some tapes and told me to switch the tapes everyday. They also told me that during the time I eat, be careful not to open your mouth too big, perfer eating things in liquid instead of doing lots of chewing. So I made congee at home, and I keep having yougurt, congee and milk for the rest 5 days after the surgery. Until all my threads are gone on the 6th day. After the clinic has took off all my threads, on the same night I am able to have some soild food such as rice, but I avoid eating something chewing because the clinic told me within’ 2 weeks after the surgery, you are not suspose to open your mouth wide and do too much chewing. So I try to have something like noodles and pastas which is easy to chew, try avoiding steaks which is chewing.
So here it is how it looks like a week after the surgery:
the right side of my lip corner contains a bit of marks but its very lightthe right side of my lips has even lighten marks and un-noticeable.
You can still see some marks on my right side of the lip corner, the marks on the right side is really light, because the right side of my lip corner is lower so they need to lifts it higher than the left side. Now lookinging at the pictures, when I smile, my lips are even on both sides. and it looks more curvy compares to before. I am really happy of the result, it makes more looking more sweet when I smile.

Looks pretty nature after all, I am really happy with the result. This surgery has the magical effects that you don’t look like you had a surgery, but you look happier. Actually thats what my friend told me, nobodies can tell I did something, but my face looks more friendly and comfortable. I guess this is the great part of the surgery, until doing your eyes and nose, people can tell easily, but the smile lift surgery is unnoticable, but you look much prettier after. So over all rating, its worth it.
After consultation with a few other clinics for the smile lift surgery, I decided to go for the smile lipt surgery in a clinic near Apgujeong in Gangnam. This kind of lip corner surgery is pretty complicated, even Korean plastic surgery is famous in the world, but still not a lot of docters in Seoul are able to do well on the smile surgery. The choices are very limited. The clinic I choose is pretty busy, a lot of Korean clients were waitting for consultations, I can tell it’s pretty much a famous clinic for the smile lift surgery because most of the patients here are going for the lip surgery and face lifts. So my surgery dated is set and everything is ready.
My smile lipt surgery was at 10:30AM in the morning. So after I arrived in the clinic, I went into a room and had a more detailed consultation with the docter. I told him my lips were crooked and my right side of my lift is more drooping than the left side. I asked him if he can alter it by just doing
the lip corner surgery without doing a full lip surgery. He said no problems and I am sure he understands what I wanted. So he marks on my lips and starting to design the surgery, and after 10 mins of marking I went to sleep under the Anesthesia.

So when I wake up the surgery was done. My lips were all taped so I can’t see
anything. They said I need to come back the next day for disinfection service, and the tapes will be removed.
I DECIDED TO GO FOR THE SMILE LIFT SURGERY IN KOREA! Here is the reasons:
Saw the information about the Korean smile lipt surgery on daily mail UK, I got pretty much interested in doing it because I do have a drooping lip corner that made me look like less “kind” if I don’t smile. Also the main problem is that my lips look crooked when I smile or even I don’t smile. Even when I try to smile, my smile seems unnatural becase my lip corner doesnt seem like a Crescent shape, it looks like I try hard to smile or something. Korea plastic surgery is famous in the world, and this smile surgery is only found in Korea, I don’t think any doctors in the states are doing it so far.
So I was hopping by doing this surgery it could fix the problems on my lips with a better smile. Well maybe picture could explain it more.

So I have researched 3 clinics in Seoul that is specialized in Smile Lipt surgery, I will go to consultation for all these three clinics and pick one out of the three. I personally do not like the one which with heavry advertistment for oversea patients, I perfer going to the ones that is only for Korean local clients.
